For all of you living in a cave for the past 6 months here is a picture of Joseph's new son Christian Nash Fitzgerald or better known as "Tigger" by his dad! He said it's because he is so happy and bouncy and has red hair! Welcome to our family little "Tig"!
Alec's 4th grade Program was so fun! He did such a great job at being Jim Bridger! He sang lots of fun songs about the settling of Utah. His favorite song was called "Wheels" about the railroad and Promentory Point and cross continental Railroad meeting in Utah. I am so proud of him and love him alot!
Alyssa is graduating this Friday!! Everyone is invited to join her at the Marriott Center at 4:00 or for dinner following the ceremony (6:00-6:30 ish) at every ones favorite La Dolce Vita in Provo. That's right... Zack went and popped the question and the beautiful Miss Afton actually said YES!! The big day is August 12th at the Mount Timpanogos Temple. More information is sure to come but be sure to save the date!
Because there are so many of us, we live all over the place, and we are very busy, this blog was created to (as it says in the header) "keep us all connected". It is a place for you to post exciting things that happen in your family so the rest of us will know. For example: new babies, awards, advancements, missions, weddings, funny stories, recipes, exciting news.... basically ANYTHING you want to share with the people who love you the most... your family! You can include pictures with your posts or not... JUST POST! Reason number two for this blog: so everyone will know about upcoming events and things that are going on (reunions, blessings, farewells, parties, etc.) and hopefully eliminate some of the confusion that happens when there are so many people involved. We hope you will all get involved and that this can be a benefit to our family.
Upcoming Events
7/11 Abby and McKenna's baptism noon @ the Stake Center
...two young people fell in love. They were sealed for time and all eternity on December 3, 1954 in the Hawaii Temple. Almost 55 years later there are 8 children with 6 spouses, 37 grandchildren (including some spouses), 10 great grandchildren with 2 on the way and a lot of special people we like to call family! The grand total: the numbers are changing too fast to keep up (it's about 70 total!), but we know it adds up to a whole lot of JOY!
God Bless Our Family (Higbee Family Song)
by: J. Alvin Higbee (father of J. Marvin Higbee)
God bless our family help us to grow; Strive more in harmony that we may know; The mysteries of thy kingdom the glories of thy love; Fill our souls with wisdom and knowledge from above. Make us one united band mighty for the right; Inspired by study and by prayer let us heed the Gospel light.
